Privacy Policy
Cartographer's Company, by IckyAppBuilds ("we", "us"). Effective date: 23 October 2026.
This policy explains what information we collect when you play Cartographer's Company, why we collect it, who we share it with and what choices you have. The game is not directed at children under 13 (see "Children").
1. What we collect
- Account information: your email address and a password. The password is stored only as a secure hash by our sign-in provider; we cannot read it.
- Game data: your saved progress (gold, heroes, relics, deck, settings, statistics, daily-reward streak) so it follows you across devices.
- Purchase records: which items you have obtained, so we can restore them to your account.
- Technical data: a random device identifier stored in your browser, and the IP address and device or browser details that our hosting and sign-in providers log automatically for security and operation.
- Advertising data: if you watch a rewarded ad in the mobile app, our ad provider (Google AdMob) may collect your device's advertising identifier and other data as described in its own policy. In the mobile app you can decline personalised ads when asked, and change this in your device settings.
2. How we use it
- To create and secure your account and sync your save.
- To send account emails you need, such as sign-up confirmation and password reset. We do not send marketing email unless you opt in.
- To restore purchases, prevent fraud and abuse, and fix problems.
- To show rewarded ads you choose to watch, and to measure how the game is used and improve it.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf:
- Supabase: account sign-in and cloud save storage (servers in the United States).
- Resend: sending account emails.
- GitHub Pages: hosting the web version of the game.
- Google AdMob: rewarded ads in the mobile app.
- Payment processors and app stores (for example Apple, Google, Stripe), if and when paid items are offered. They handle your payment details; we never see your card number.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it or to protect our rights and users' safety.
4. Storage on your device
The game stores your save, a device identifier and your sign-in session in your browser's local storage so it works and keeps you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies on the web version.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and save until you delete your account. You can delete it yourself at any time in the game: Company, then Account, then Delete account. This permanently removes your account, cloud save and purchase records from our database. Backups and provider logs may keep copies for a short time afterwards. If paid items are added later, we may keep limited transaction records where the law requires it.
6. Your choices and rights
You can access, correct or delete your information, and ask for a copy of it. Deleting your account in the game removes it. For anything else, contact us at contact@ickyappbuilds.com. Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, including to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local data protection authority. We will not discriminate against you for using these rights.
7. Children
Cartographer's Company is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for transfers from the EU/UK.
9. Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections and access rules so each player can read and change only their own save. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
10. Changes
We may update this policy. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, tell you in the game or by email.
